Bill Sanstrom currently serves as Vice President of Global Business Development at Halliburton where, either directly at Halliburton or at Halliburton owned companies, he has spent his entire career. In his current role at Halliburton, Mr. Sanstrom has pursued and closed various deals ranging from $100 million to $1 billion. Before that, he was Vice President of international oil accounts Eni and Repsol both of which grew in excess of 35% per year under his leadership. Earlier, Mr. Sanstrom also served as Vice President of Global Technical Solutions Marketing, Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Global Technology Solutions at Halliburton-owned Sperry Drilling Services, Director of Global Operations for Halliburton-owned Landmark Graphics, the largest commercial software provider serving the oil and gas industry. Mr. Sandstrom’s career also includes technical roles including as systems architect in Halliburton's Research and Development department where he supported and led real-time technology development and the integration of acquired companies. He began his career at Halliburton as a Field Engineer responsible for acquiring and processing oil well log data. Mr. Sanstrom holds three data compression patents and has published numerous papers with the Society of Petroleum Engineers and various industry journals. He holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
